Collection: Bathroom Lights

Bathroom lighting can make the difference between a harsh clinical space and a relaxing oasis of calm. There's a lot of confusion about what types of lighting can be used in bathrooms but it's actually really simple.

Within the three splash zones an appropriate IP rated fitting must be used, outside of those zones any lighting can be used.

Zone 0: Within the bath or shower SELV (Max 12V) and IPX7

Zone 1: Above the bath or shower to 2.25m IPX4 (IPX5 if water jets used for cleaning)

Zone 2: Outside the bath or shower to 0.6m IPX4 (IPX5 if water jets used for cleaning)

Basins\Sinks are not specifically classed but usually considered Zone 2

Outside these zones, and providing water jets are not used for cleaning no specific IP rating is required.
